
Black chokeberry jam
Description

1. Take the berries, wash them thoroughly, soak them in water for 5 minutes, then tip them into a colander. Let them drain.

2. Pour two cups of water into a saucepan and add half a kilogram of sugar. Cook the syrup, then once it’s ready, add the berries and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 3 minutes over low heat and leave the jam to rest for 8 hours.

3. The next day, bring the mixture to a boil, add the remaining sugar according to the recipe, and simmer gently for about 20 minutes. If you like, you can add cinnamon.

4. Pour it into jars and wrap them up well. When the jam has cooled, put it in the pantry or cellar.
