Orange Jam with Peel
Description
A homemade winter preserve. I highly recommend the classic orange jam with peel — this dessert is a real treat any time of year! It’s very easy to make and needs only a few ingredients. Serve at the table or keep it in the pantry.

Step 1

1. You can make orange jam with peel at home using only a minimal set of ingredients. Just oranges and sugar—what could be simpler? To start, choose ripe, uniform fruit and prepare the sugar.

Step 2

2. Adjust the amount of ingredients yourself; the main thing is that it should be 1:1. Wash the oranges thoroughly and pour boiling water over them for 15 minutes. You can place a weight on them so they don’t float.

Step 3

3. After that, cut the fruit into wedges (halves). Don’t cut them too small — a whole ring cut in half works best. Cover with sugar and let stand for 12 hours. Now go about your other business. When the time is up, put the oranges in a saucepan and simmer for about an hour, stirring constantly.

Step 4

4. Control the thickness of the jam yourself. The longer you cook it, the thicker it becomes, but don't overdo it. Do not cook it for more than 1.5 hours.

Step 5

5. That's the beautiful result you'll get. Now you not only have jars of beautiful, delicious jam, but a pleasant citrus scent will linger in your home for at least several days.
