Quince Jam in an Air Fryer
Description
Homemade preserves keep for a long time. Many home cooks have long since gotten air fryers, and I think they have never once regretted it. And since now is the perfect time to think about preserves, I want to share some good news: you can easily make quince jam in an air fryer at home. As it turns out, preparing fruit and berries this way is very convenient—the air fryer handles any jam wonderfully. But quince jam turns out especially juicy and fragrant, a true taste of childhood, so in our house not a single winter goes by without this treat. By the way, we will cook it in the air fryer right in the jars, so those old basins are a thing of the past—with this simple quince jam in the air fryer recipe, everything can be done easily and quickly. 1) Rinse the quince under cold water, remove the cores from the fruit, and slice the flesh into thin wedges. 2) Pour sugar into a small saucepan and mix it with a little water, place this mixture over heat, and heat it, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved. 3) Pour the hot syrup into the jars and add the quince pieces, place the jars on the middle rack of the air fryer, and cover them with a mesh steamer. Set the temperature to 150 degrees and cook the quince for 20 minutes on high speed. 4) Then loosely cover the jars with lids, increase the temperature to 205–235 degrees, and cook the jam for another 30 minutes on medium speed. 5) After the air fryer finishes, wait 5–10 minutes, then remove the jars and seal them. Then return them to the turned-off air fryer and leave them there until completely cooled. This jam turns out incredibly delicious and keeps quite a long time, so you can enjoy a wonderful treat all winter long. The preserve is ready for winter storage.
