I really love making homemade apricot wedge jam, because its flavor is truly one of a kind. Try making it with this recipe and you won't regret it.

Step 1

1. These are the ripe apricots I got, and I decided to make homemade apricot wedge jam right away. Wash them thoroughly, halve them, and remove the pit.

Step 2

2. Place the slices in the saucepan you will use to make the jam. Now you can sprinkle them with sugar.

Step 3

3. Leave the apricots for 24 hours so they release their juice and the sugar dissolves.

Step 4

4. The next day, start cooking. I usually make the jam in three sessions. I bring it to a boil, skim off the foam, and turn off the heat. I repeat this for three days. Thanks to this method, the jam turns out magnificent and thick, and most importantly—the fruit slices keep their shape.

5. This is how beautiful it turns out. Ladle the jam into sterilized jars and store in the pantry or cellar.
