Vanilla syrup
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The delicious scent of vanilla is familiar to all of us from childhood. For me, this fragrance will always be associated with memories of my grandmother—a wonderful cook and her incredibly tasty baked goods. I'd like to share with you a recipe for vanilla syrup that you'll find useful more than once. I use vanilla syrup in baking, pour it over pancakes for my kids' breakfast, drizzle it over ice cream for dessert, and add it to coffee and other drinks. Here is a recipe tested many times in practice. 1. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the pulp. 2. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar, vanilla pulp, and the vanilla pod. 3. Place on the stove and cook over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. 4. Bring the syrup to a boil, then immediately remove from heat. 5. Strain, cool, and pour into a bottle or jar. It's best to store this syrup in the refrigerator for no longer than two weeks. Since the portion of vanilla syrup made by this recipe is small—only 200 ml—I think you'll use up this delicious syrup well before its expiry date. Serve chilled.
