Soft waffles in a waffle maker
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. When I offered this recipe to my family for a trial, they simply fell in love with it. I've described it below. Can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Place the nuts, which should be dried and shelled, into a saucepan. Pour 200 ml of milk and cream over them. Add vanilla extract, bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat and let it sit covered for 15 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

Then transfer the mixture to a blender and process until the nuts are completely blended into a uniform mass with the milk.
- 3
Step 3

In a bowl, mix 12 g of flour with 80 g of sugar and starch. Add the egg yolks and whisk well with a whisk.
- 4
Step 4

After straining the nut mixture, pour it into the egg yolk mixture. Whisking with a whisk, make a homogeneous mass.
- 5
Step 5

Next, place this mixture over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until it reaches your desired thickness. Then transfer it to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until completely cooled.
- 6
Step 6

This cream can be prepared the evening before to serve in the morning. After cooling, add the cottage cheese and mix thoroughly with a mixer.
- 7
Step 7

Now prepare the waffles. Mix the flour with baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and baking soda.
- 8
Step 8

In another bowl, mix the yogurt and the remaining milk. Separate two egg yolks from the whites and add them to the mixture as well. Melt the butter and pour it in too.
- 9
Step 9

Mix the dry ingredients with the resulting mixture. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a mixer. Gently fold them into the dough with a spatula.
- 10
Step 10

Bake the waffles in a waffle maker for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Serve with nut cream.
