1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, spices, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter in a separate medium bowl. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.

2. Peel the apples and slice them. Chop the nuts. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then sprinkle a little sugar on top. Stir until the sugar begins to melt, about 1 minute.
