Waffles for Breakfast
Description
You can use frozen berries for the filling—raspberries, blueberries, lingonberries, and black currants. Waffles bake for 4–6 minutes per batch. There is no exact time; go by your appliance and how golden you want them.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To make breakfast waffles, prepare the necessary ingredients. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to aerate it.
- 2
Step 2

For sweet waffles, combine milk with melted butter; for savory waffles, combine kefir with vegetable oil.
- 3
Step 3

Add the eggs to the bowls.
- 4
Step 4

Add sugar, salt, and baking soda.
- 5
Step 5

Gradually add sifted flour and knead both types of dough. Adjust the amount of flour based on the consistency. You can make it slightly thicker or, conversely, slightly thinner.
- 6
Step 6

Lightly coat the berries in starch and add them to the sweet milk-based dough. Add grated cheese and chopped herbs to the kefir-based dough. Mix both types of dough.
- 7
Step 7

Grease the preheated waffle iron with vegetable oil. Bake sweet waffles.
- 8
Step 8

Then bake the cheese waffles. Spread the batter evenly across the entire waffle iron so you end up with whole waffles.
- 9
Step 9

Ready-made waffles can be topped with sour cream. Sweet ones can be served with jam. Enjoy your treat!
