Waffle Layers with Minced Meat
Description
To make waffle layers with minced meat filling, you will need plain waffles—large, unsweetened, and rectangular. You can use beef mince for the filling, but for faster preparation I use chicken. You will also need full-fat sour cream; you can generally do without wine. See the detailed recipe below. Serve with herbs and sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

You can make the minced meat yourself from chicken breasts.
- 2
Step 2

Add finely chopped onion, processed cheese, oregano, and spices to the ground meat. You can freeze the processed cheese beforehand and then grate it.
- 3
Step 3

Add the milk to the filling and mix thoroughly. Spread over the waffle bases.
- 4
Step 4

Let the sheets soak in.
- 5
Step 5

Separately, mix the flour with warm water and wine. Mix the sour cream with tomato paste and spices.
- 6
Step 6

Mix the two parts of the sauce. Add minced garlic. Roll the waffle crusts into rolls. Place in a baking dish.
- 7
Step 7

Pour sauce over the rolls and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 25–30 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

The finished waffle layers with filling resemble a casserole and smell delightful. Before serving, you can cut the rolls.
