
Uzbek flaky flatbreads
Description
Tasty baked goods for the whole family. Uzbek flatbreads are usually baked in a tandoor or fried in a cauldron in a large amount of vegetable oil. I will show a more simplified, so to speak, home version – we’ll fry the flatbreads in a pan. Prepare them for breakfast or a snack during the day, with tea or milk – very delicious The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Sift the flour into a deep bowl.

Add warm water and salt.

Knead the dough. Gather the dough into a ball, cover it with a clean towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Then roll out the dough into a rectangular sheet about 2 mm thick. Brush the dough with soft melted butter.

Roll the greased sheet into a log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then divide into 6 equal portions.

Place each piece on the cut side and press it with your hand, shaping it into a flatbread.

Dust the rolling pin with flour and roll out each piece to a thickness of about 2 mm and a diameter of approximately 22 cm.

Fry the flatbreads in a preheated pan with vegetable oil, covering the pan with a lid, for about 3–5 minutes on each side.
