Duck in a bag with apples
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Remember that duck is roasted according to its weight—1 hour per 1 kg in a preheated oven on the middle rack. If the oven is not preheated, add another 15–20 minutes to the cooking time. Be sure to coat the bird with marinade or sauce and let it sit at room temperature for 2–3 hours; the meat will absorb all the flavors and aromas of the sauce and spices. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the duck carcass and dry it with paper towels or cloths. Cut off the wing tips, as they contain no meat and may burn.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep container or bowl, combine soy sauce and pressed peeled garlic cloves. If the apples taste sweet, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to enhance the flavor of the poultry. It's best to use green or yellow apples.

Step 3

Brush the duck inside and out with the prepared sauce and let it sit for 2-3 hours at room temperature.

Step 4

Wash the apples in water, cut them into quarters, and remove the core. If desired, you can cut them into large cubes or slices.

Step 5

Place the duck in a roasting bag, add apple slices, and tie the bag tightly on both ends to prevent air from escaping. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Put the duck on a baking tray on the middle rack, reduce the temperature to 180°C, and roast the bird for 1.5 hours.

Step 6

After the specified time, remove the duck from the bag by carefully cutting it with scissors to avoid steam burns. Place the golden-brown duck with apples onto a serving plate, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve with your favorite side dish. Enjoy your meal!
