Description
The recipe won't take much time. This dish is usually prepared in the oven, but a modern homemaker can easily rely on an indispensable kitchen helper—the multicooker. See the instructions. Serve hot.

Step 1

Cut the duck into portion pieces, season with salt and pepper, and coat with mustard. Set aside for half an hour. While the meat is marinating, peel and chop the vegetables. Place the duck pieces skin-side down into the multicooker bowl. Sear using the "Frying" mode. Do not add oil—there will be enough fat rendered from the duck. If too much fat is released, drain the excess; it can be used in other dishes.

Step 2

Add the carrots and onions, mix well.

Step 3

Set the "Stewing" mode for 1 hour. Place the shredded cabbage on top, pour in tomato juice, add spices (bay leaf, pepper), salt and sugar to taste. Tomato juice can be replaced with tomato paste; add water if necessary.
