Duck with lemon in the oven
Description
Juicy duck with a golden crust is the perfect centerpiece for a festive table. You can bake potatoes, pumpkin, buckwheat, or rice alongside it as a side dish and serve everything together. Don't forget various sauces, pickles, and so on.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the duck carcass, trim the wing tips, remove the tail gland and neck. Dry with paper towels. Scald the lemon with boiling water.
- 2
Step 2

Slice the lemon into rounds and remove the seeds. Rub the duck with salt, ground black pepper, and the lemon slices, pressing slightly to release the juice. Let the duck marinate for about 1-2 hours.

Step 3

Then place all the lemons inside the cavity of the bird so they don't burn or char during baking. Add the dried rosemary as well. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and roast the duck for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You can also place the bird into a roasting bag.

Step 4

If the chicken breast starts to burn, cover it with parchment paper or foil and continue baking until fully cooked.

Step 5

Remove the golden-brown bird from the oven. Place the duck on a plate and garnish with lemons. Serve hot.
