Duck with potatoes in the oven
Description
When I first saw this recipe for duck with potatoes baked in the oven, I was a bit surprised because the marinade sauce consists of a rather unusual combination of cream and wine vinegar. But in fact, it turned out very tasty—the vinegar "softens" the somewhat tough duck meat and adds a delicate flavor, while the cream, as expected, ensures the meat stays juicy. Give it a try.

Step 1

1. Mix the cream, wine vinegar, crushed garlic, and spices in a bowl. Marinate the meat in this sauce for about two hours. Then sear each leg on high heat in a pan until browned—just to form a crust, not to cook through.

Step 2

2. Now place the sliced and peeled potatoes and finely chopped broccoli florets directly on the baking sheet, then pour the remaining marinade over them. Coat each chicken leg on all sides with breadcrumbs and place them on the baking sheet as well. Bake for one to one and a half hours at 180 degrees Celsius.
