Duck breast with lingonberry sauce
Description
Recently I saw lingonberry sauce in the store and decided to try preparing something delicious to go with it. I settled on duck breast, which pairs perfectly with lingonberries. You can also make the lingonberry sauce yourself—simply cook the lingonberries slightly, as you would for jam.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the duck breast, pat dry, and season well with salt and pepper. Finely chop the garlic, and mince the thyme and rosemary. Rub the duck with the herbs and garlic. Brush with a tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- 3
Step 3

Cut all the vegetables into 1.5–2 cm cubes. You can also add chopped garlic. Add herbs to the vegetables as well. Brush the vegetables with vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the duck breast in a baking dish, arranging vegetables around it. Cut the butter into pieces and place on top of the duck and vegetables.
- 5
Step 5

Bake for about 15-25 minutes. Check the thickest part of the chicken breast for doneness; if it's cooked, remove the dish.
- 6
Step 6

Serve the ready duck breast at the table, pouring over it the lingonberry sauce.
