Boil syrup from water and sugar. Let it cool completely. Then mix almond flour with powdered sugar, and finally pour in the syrup. When the mixture becomes uniform, the marzipan modeling dough is ready.

Step 3

You can shape this dough into any thematic decorations. Make bunnies and chicks for Easter, Christmas trees with ornaments for New Year, or roses for a birthday cake. We'll make pumpkins for Halloween or Thanksgiving. Divide the dough into portions and knead each portion thoroughly with different food coloring to achieve various colors.

Step 4

Roll a small piece of dough into a ball between your palms. The color can be yellowish-orange, greenish, or mottled, just like a real pumpkin. Now gently flatten the pumpkin with two fingers, use the blunt side of a knife to mark grooves, and attach a small green, brown, or black stem. A single pumpkin is ready!

Step 5

Now it's time to let your masterpieces dry, then place them on a pastry or cake. And if you're planning to use marzipan as the main treat, shape the pumpkins to the size of a small apple!
