Pumpkin smoothie
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. If you make pumpkin purée in advance by boiling and blending peeled pieces of pumpkin, you can easily use this prepared purée not only for delicious dishes but also for aromatic drinks, for example, smoothies. Don't forget to add a little cinnamon and sprinkle the thick drink with crushed crumbled shortbread cookies to give it a spiced flavor reminiscent of boiled milk.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Pre-cook the pumpkin slices in a small amount of liquid and puree them. If desired, you can freeze part of the pumpkin puree to use later as a base for new smoothies—it will already be chilled. Place the pumpkin puree into the blender jar.
- 3
Step 3

Add granulated sugar. You can replace it with any type of floral honey, except buckwheat honey—it is slightly bitter and will impart a bitter taste to the drink.
- 4
Step 4

Pour in milk of any fat content and add ground cinnamon. If you're making a warm smoothie, heat the milk, but do not bring it to a boil; conversely, for a cold drink, chill the milk in the refrigerator.
- 5
Step 5

Blend everything in a blender bowl for about 1-2 minutes using the pulse mode. Pour the prepared pumpkin smoothie into glasses or cups.
- 6
Step 6

Carefully crumble the shortbread cookie in a bag or by hand, then sprinkle the crumbs over the drink in the containers. Optionally, insert straws or filled wafer sticks into the glasses. Serve the pumpkin smoothie to the table, calling your family to enjoy.
