
Pumpkin and corn porridge cooked in milk

Soak the cornmeal in a glass of milk for about 20 minutes.

Cut the pumpkin into small pieces. Sprinkle with sugar, add vanillin or vanilla sugar, and place the pot over low heat.

After about 15 minutes, add the grain soaked in milk to the pumpkin and pour in the remaining milk. Cover the pot with a lid and cook the porridge over low heat for about 40 minutes.

Mash the cooked porridge with a fork if you prefer pumpkin pieces, or blend it for a smooth, homogeneous porridge.
