Cottage cheese roll with minced meat
Description
You can make cottage cheese rolls without meat. This is a version of a hearty savory dish. But if you remove the savory filling and add more sugar, you'll get delicious sweet rolls. You can fill them with jam, fruits, or soaked poppy seeds. It will be very tasty.

Step 1

Knead the dough. Beat the eggs, add salt, sugar, and baking soda. Add flour and cottage cheese. The dough should be firm. Roll it out into a thin layer. Place the filling on top.

Step 2

Grate the potatoes on a grater. Sprinkle them over the minced meat. Finely chop the onion and place it on top. Salt, pepper, and add dried or fresh herbs to taste.

Step 3

Roll the resulting "pizza" into a log. Do this carefully to avoid spilling the filling. Cut the log into slices.

Step 4

Now we coat each piece in flour on both sides. Heat the skillet, pour sunflower oil into it. Place the rolls in the skillet and fry them for 5 minutes on each side over medium heat.

Step 5

When the rolls turn golden brown, they are ready. Transfer them to a plate and serve. You can eat them with sour cream, but in my opinion, that might be too rich. I recommend serving them with hot tea, perhaps with milk.
