Cheese pie made with puff pastry
Description
The baking is simple and quick. The cake is very tasty. To avoid making dough from scratch, I use ready-made dough. For the filling, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla, then mix them with cottage cheese. Roll out the dough and cut it into strips. Place the filling onto the strips, then pinch the edges together to form a sausage-like roll with the filling inside. Arrange the rolls in a circle to create a snail shape. Brush the top with egg beaten with sugar and bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Let the cake cool before serving.

Step 1

I have ready-made puff pastry — while it's defrosting, I can prepare the filling. Beat 2 eggs with sugar, melted butter, and vanilla. Then add the cottage cheese and mix thoroughly. You can optionally add raisins, other dried fruits, or shredded coconut to the filling, but today I'm using plain cottage cheese.

Step 2

Roll out the dough into a sheet and cut it into 3 long strips. The width should be about 10 cm, and the length approximately one meter. Slightly roll out each strip wider and place the filling along the strip. Pinch the edges of the dough together to form a sausage-shaped roll with the cottage cheese filling inside.
