Cottage cheese swirls in sour cream topping
Description
These swirls turn out incredibly delicious! Soft and soaked in sour cream, they will leave no one indifferent. I highly recommend making them as soon as possible! They're perfect to serve to your beloved family or long-awaited guests. Enjoy them with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Add dry yeast to warm milk. Add half a teaspoon of sugar and 2-3 teaspoons of flour.
- 2
Step 2
Mix well until smooth and let the dough rise for half an hour.
- 3
Step 3
Add salt and sugar to the sifted flour, mixing everything evenly. Add softened margarine and sour cream to the resulting mixture. Rub everything into coarse crumbs.
- 4
Step 4
Pour in the previously prepared yeast mixture and knead a dough of medium consistency: not too stiff, but not too soft either.
- 5
Step 5
Leave the finished dough to rise in a warm place, covering it first.
- 6
Step 6
Knead the dough again and wait for it to rise a second time.
- 7
Step 7
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Mix the cottage cheese, egg, and sugar into a smooth mixture. If the cottage cheese is too moist, you can add a little grated breadcrumbs or flour.
- 8
Step 8
Roll out the prepared dough into a rectangle about 1 cm thick. Evenly spread the filling over it, then roll it up tightly into a log.
- 9
Step 9
Slice the roll into pieces of the desired thickness (keep in mind that they will increase in volume by approximately twice when cooked).
- 10
Step 10
Place the cut pieces on a greased baking sheet and let rise for about 30 minutes.
- 11
Step 11
Before placing them in the oven, brush the swirls with beaten egg yolk.
- 12
Step 12
Bake until done at a temperature of 180-200 degrees.
- 13
Step 13
Pour the ready-made buns with sour cream mixed with powdered sugar, and leave until completely cooled.
