Cottage cheese roses
Description
Homemade baked treats for tea. An interesting recipe for cookies made with cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, and flour. You can vary them by adding a cream filling made from cottage cheese, raisins, and sour cream placed in the center. Alternatively, you can sprinkle the center with sugar. If desired, after baking, try adding any cream of your choice. Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

1. I used regular store-bought cottage cheese, but you can use homemade, slightly looser cottage cheese (then the cookies will taste even better). Mix the cottage cheese with eggs, regular sugar, and vanilla sugar.

Step 2

2. Add baking soda and flour, knead the dough. It is better to sift the flour through a sieve.

Step 3

3. The dough should be thoroughly kneaded. It should turn out elastic and not stick to the hands. Then roll out into a sheet no thicker than 0.5 cm. Using available tools, cut out circles with a diameter of 6-8 cm.

Step 4

4. Now take 4 circles. They will serve as the base for our future "roses." Arrange the circles overlapping each other, then roll them up into a tube.

Step 5

5. Cut in half and place on a baking sheet.

Step 6

6. These beautiful little cottage cheese roses are what you get.

Step 7

7. It's better to line the baking sheet with parchment paper so the cookies don't burn. Place the prepared cookies into a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes.

Step 8

8. After baking, let them cool slightly, then transfer to a serving dish and, if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
