Cottage cheese buns
Description
Homemade treats for tea. My mom often baked these delicious and aromatic cottage cheese pancakes when I was a child. Adults were always too busy, but this baking requires minimal effort and time. All my friends loved these pancakes, and I used to take them to school for a snack. Nowadays, we're into more sophisticated dishes and rarely remember these time-tested recipes. Bake these tasty cottage cheese pancakes—they'll remind you of childhood, and they're also healthy for kids. Serve them with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix soft butter or margarine with sugar using a mixer.
- 2
Step 2

Add the cottage cheese and beat again. If you don't like cottage cheese lumps in your baked goods, blend the cottage cheese with a blender or pass it through a meat grinder.
- 3
Step 3

Add eggs, salt, and vanilla sugar. Beat until the mixture is smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Mix two cups of flour with baking powder and add it to the mixture. Then gradually add the remaining flour. Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
- 5
Step 5

Roll out the dough into a layer no thicker than 1 cm. Cut out rounds using a glass or shaped cutters.
- 6
Step 6

Lightly grease the baking sheet with oil or dust it with flour, then place the dough rounds on it. The tops of the dough rounds can be sprinkled with sugar, chopped nuts, poppy seeds, or sesame seeds.

Step 7

Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25–30 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden color.
