Cottage cheese turnovers with sugar
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I really love these cookies because they're quick to prepare and turn out very tasty. I even make them for children, who absolutely adore them. They're also healthy, especially for kids who don't like cottage cheese on its own. Here, it's perfectly hidden in the dough.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Many people remember the taste of these cookies from childhood. They are made with a base of cottage cheese and margarine, with the addition of sugar, flour, and baking powder. Use premium-grade flour, and butter can be used instead of margarine.
- 2
Step 2

2. Cut the margarine (butter) into cubes. Sometimes I grate it on a medium grater, as this allows the dough to be chopped faster.
- 3
Step 3

3. Add sugar and mix with margarine.
- 4
Step 4

4. You can chop with a knife, but be sure to use a deep bowl.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add the flour and continue cutting with a knife until homogeneous.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add the cottage cheese last and continue kneading. Then mix everything using a spoon or in a food processor (dough mixing mode).
- 7
Step 7

7. Place the finished dough in a bag and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- 8
Step 8

8. Then take out the dough and divide it into portions. Roll out each portion with a rolling pin to a thickness of no more than 3 mm.
- 9
Step 9

9. Then form a large square and cut it into smaller squares (first lengthwise, then crosswise) measuring approximately 10x10 cm.
- 10
Step 10

10. Place the sugar in the center and fold into a rectangular envelope (first fold one opposite side, then the other).
- 11
Step 11

11. Place on the prepared baking sheet and put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

12. The finished cookies can be dusted with powdered sugar (after cooling).
