Cottage cheese buns in 15 minutes
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. The buns bake very quickly. 1. Mix all the ingredients—cottage cheese, egg, flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. 2. The dough will be quite soft, though this depends on the cottage cheese. I shape it into balls with wet hands to prevent sticking and place them on a baking tray. 3. Grease the tray with butter. If you don't have butter, you can line it with baking paper. Non-stick baking trays don't need greasing at all. 4. The buns will noticeably rise, so space them well apart when placing on the tray. 5. Bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 10 minutes, or a few minutes longer if your oven isn't powerful or well-sealed. 6. This recipe yields about two dozen buns. 7. Sprinkle warm buns with powdered sugar or regular sugar. Serve with jam and coffee (or tea), either cooled or slightly warm.
