
Cottage cheese buns
Description
The baked goods are simple and quick to make. Soft, fragrant buns vanish in an instant! They are delicious with tea or coffee, and also warm with milk. If you like, you can add raisins or any other dried berries or fruit to the dough. You can safely call this baking a “quick fix.” Bake them — you won’t regret it. They can be served with tea or coffee.

Prepare all ingredients.

Beat the eggs with sugar and salt.

Add the cottage cheese, baking powder, and butter. Mix well, mashing any large lumps of cottage cheese with a fork or spatula.

Then add the flour in portions. First mix the dough with a spoon, then continue kneading by hand.

Do not knead the dough for too long, or it will “toughen” and the buns will be hard and heavy.

Roll out the dough into a sheet and cut it into strips. The number of strips should be a multiple of 3. If you want smaller buns, you can cut the strips in half.

Join three strips of dough at the base and braid them. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the pastries with egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar. You can add cinnamon to the sugar. Bake at 190°C for about 20 minutes.
