Cottage cheese souffle in the microwave
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. When I first tried to make classic cottage cheese soufflé, it turned out too runny, and in the microwave it burned completely. Yet according to the recipe, it should have been baked at maximum power for 5 minutes, left to rest for 2 minutes, and then baked for another 3 minutes. My soufflé was already burnt after just 2 minutes. That's when I started searching for the perfect recipe—but without success. Eventually, I realized there's no ideal recipe that works for everyone. Microwave ovens differ in power, dishes vary, and so on. Therefore, in this recipe, I'll share the preparation steps and give you tips on how to cook soufflé properly. My microwave has a power of 1600 W, so I require less cooking time. I use ceramic molds with a capacity of 100 ml. If you use larger molds, the cooking time will be longer. For four molds, I already needed 15 seconds more. Well then, let's get started. The ready dessert can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I used full-fat cottage cheese, as it makes the soufflé more nutritious. If you're watching your figure, use fat-free cottage cheese.
- 2
Step 2

Using a mixer, beat the egg with sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Add cottage cheese, semolina, and banana. Blend with a blender until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

Let the mixture stand for about 7-10 minutes so that the semolina swells. This will make the soufflé fluffier.
- 5
Step 5

Place the cottage cheese mixture into molds. I used 100 ml molds. Put the molds into the microwave and set it to maximum power. Now pay attention: if you're making cottage cheese soufflé for the first time, you need to determine the cooking time for your microwave. Here's what I did—my microwave has a power of 1600 W, and I used two 100 ml molds. I set the microwave for 2 minutes. After exactly one minute, I checked: the soufflé had risen and formed a nice, fluffy dome. I stopped the microwave. After a minute, I turned it on again for 15 seconds. The soufflé was ready. So, in total, it took me 1 minute and 15 seconds.

Step 6

The cottage cheese souffle in the microwave is ready. You can serve it right in the mold, or remove it and place it on a nice little plate. Decorate with fruits or grated chocolate.
