Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Serve the cottage cheese berry pie as a dessert with tea or coffee, either cold or slightly warmed, cut into portions. Before serving, you can decorate the pie with any berries, fresh mint sprigs, or in any other way you prefer. For making the cottage cheese berry pie, you can use any fresh or frozen berries and cottage cheese of any fat content. It all depends solely on your preferences. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Step 1

1. In a suitable container, combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Add softened butter and rub it into the dry mixture with your hands until it turns into crumbs. The dough should be slightly sticky and crumbly.

Step 2

2. Line a pie pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it with butter. Set aside three tablespoons of dough for topping the pie. Place the remaining dough into the pan, pressing and smoothing it firmly. For the filling, beat the egg with sugar until fluffy, then add cottage cheese, starch, and vanilla sugar. Mix until smooth. Pour the resulting cheese mixture over the dough in the pan.

3. Rinse the berries (I used a frozen mix) under cold water and let the water drain off. Carefully place the berries onto the curd mixture. Sprinkle the top with crumbly dough reserved earlier. Lightly sprinkle with almond flakes.
