Braised pork with onions
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In my recipe, I will tell you. The ready dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Pork shoulder or rear pork are good choices for stewing. Remove the films from the meat, rinse it, and pat dry. Peel and wash a large onion.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the meat into fairly large pieces, preferably across the grain. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, quickly sear the pork until lightly browned, then reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 30 minutes. At first, the meat will release its juices, and it will simmer in them. Gradually add warm water as needed to prevent the pork from burning.

Step 3

Slice the onion into half-rings, add to the pan, and continue simmering covered for about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add your favorite meat seasonings, you can use several types, salt and pepper to taste, mix, add a little more water, and continue simmering for 5-7 minutes.

Step 5

The amount of sauce depends on your preference; it's very tasty and can be poured over any side dish.

Step 6

Sprinkle the ready stewed pork with onions with fresh herbs and serve with potatoes, any porridge, or pasta. Don't forget homemade pickles.
