Instructions

Step 1

1. A very simple recipe - fish stewed in mayonnaise at home. We will need just two hake or pollock fillets, one carrot, one onion, and mayonnaise. You can use spices as desired and to taste.
- 2
Step 2

2. Clean and wash the fish, then cut it into portion pieces, coat in flour, and lightly fry.
- 3
Step 3

3. Do the same with the onion and carrot. Our goal is to create a vegetable "bed" on which we will braise the hake.

Step 4

4. You can place the fish on the vegetables fresh, or you can use already fried fish. If you prefer regular stewed fish, do not pre-cook it before adding it to the sauce.

Step 5

5. While the hake is frying, mix the mayonnaise with a glass of water and pour it over the dish. Add bay leaf, peppercorns, and other seasonings to taste.

Step 6

6. Cover with a lid and simmer until fully cooked. Before serving, don't forget to garnish the dish with fresh herbs and, if desired, serve with a side dish.
