
Braised chicken in a pot
Description

1. Wash the chicken and dry it with paper towels. Cut into pieces (size at your discretion), season with salt and pepper to taste.

2. Sear the cut and dried chicken over high heat until a golden crust forms. Do not cover the pot with a lid, otherwise the chicken will release juice and the crust won't form.

3. Chop the onion coarsely (but not too finely), grate the carrot on a grater. Sauté them with vegetable oil until golden brown (in a frying pan).

4. As soon as the vegetables are browned, pour in the sour cream previously mixed with water. Stir and heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Season the chicken with salt to taste and pour the sour cream mixture over it.

5. Simmer covered over low heat for 50 minutes. The stewed chicken in the pot is ready.
