Braised chicken with gravy
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. For some reason, I've always only stewed chicken breasts, baked the legs in the oven, and fried the thighs. But once, as a guest, I tried stewed chicken with sauce. Honestly, I really liked this dish. I immediately wrote down the recipe for stewed chicken with sauce, and on my way home bought a whole chicken. I quickly and easily prepared a delicious and hearty dinner. Juicy and aromatic stewed chicken with sauce makes a perfect lunch or dinner. Now you know it too. The ready dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the chicken thoroughly, dry it, and cut into pieces. You can cook this dish using boneless meat or meat with bones.
- 2
Step 2

Then sprinkle the meat with salt, black pepper, and coat with the spices you have. Let the chicken sit for about 10 minutes so the meat can absorb the flavors a bit.
- 3
Step 3

Heat a skillet well with vegetable oil, then fry the chicken pieces until golden brown on both sides. If you want the meat to brown nicely, fry it in two or three batches. Do not place all the pieces on the skillet at once.

Step 4

Wash the bell pepper and tomato. Remove the seeds from the pepper. You can peel the tomato by scalding it with boiling water. Use a blender to puree them into a pulp.
- 5
Step 5

Add tomato paste to the prepared mixture and mix everything well.
- 6
Step 6

Finely chop the peeled onion and garlic, then fry them in a pan with vegetable oil until golden brown.
- 7
Step 7

Add the mixture with tomato paste, add salt and pepper to taste, as well as finely chopped dill. Mix well and bring to a boil.
- 8
Step 8

Add the fried chicken pieces to the resulting sauce and simmer over low heat until fully cooked. Don't forget to cover the pan with a lid. Serve with any side dish.
