Braised potatoes with goat meat
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Browned stewed potatoes with juicy meat make the perfect meal for the whole family. You can add any spices, herbs, and seasonings to taste. The key point is to stew the meat first, without adding it together with the potatoes; otherwise, the vegetable slices will overcook and turn into mashed potatoes. The ready dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the potatoes. Remove the membranes and tendons from the meat, which are quite abundant. It's best to use a cut from the belly or back.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the cleaned goat meat in water and cut it into small pieces. Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron and sear the meat on all sides for 10 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Peel, rinse, and slice the onion into half-rings. Add to the cauldron and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Add salt, ground black pepper, and bay leaves. Pour in hot water and simmer the meat over medium heat for about 1 hour until tender.
- 5
Step 5

Slice the peeled potato tubers. Add them to the cauldron when about one-third of the liquid remains. It is not necessary for the liquid to cover all the potatoes; they will steam under the lid.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the container with a lid and simmer over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the cut.
- 7
Step 7

Place the finished dish on a plate and serve hot. This meat should be eaten only while hot.
