Description

The recipe won't take much time. A delicious way to prepare a traditional dish—stewed beef. The method we suggest will turn the stewed beef into the most tender meat you've ever tasted. Prepare a double portion and freeze the extra. Serve hot.

    1. Cut the beef into 3 cm cubes. Peel and chop the potatoes into 3 cm cubes. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Coarsely chop the carrots. Place the cut beef into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix the contents of the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate to marinate for 15 minutes while you prepare the remaining ingredients.

    2. When the meat has marinated for 15 minutes, take it out of the refrigerator and transfer it to a colander. Rinse off the marinade under running water. While rinsing, turn the meat cubes to remove as much marinade as possible.

    3. Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large saucepan and heat over medium heat. Add the beef and cook for 3 minutes, until all sides are browned. Add broth, wine, bay leaf, and tomato paste. Mix well and reduce heat to low. Simmer the beef for about two hours, stirring every half hour. After approximately one hour, add the carrots.

    4. 15 minutes before the dish is ready, place the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the potatoes and sauté them with the onion for another 5 minutes. Stir frequently to ensure even cooking.

    5. When the potatoes and onions are fried, add them to the meat. Add garlic, cumin, sugar, and pepper. Taste and add salt to taste.
