Turkish meatloaf
Description
This recipe won't take much time. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Pulse the bread and sage leaves in a food processor until finely chopped. Transfer to a bowl and add ground turkey. Pulse onion and celery in the food processor until chopped, then add to the turkey mixture and mix by hand. Add thyme, one whole egg, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, mustard, 1 teaspoon of sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish. In a small bowl, mix egg white with the remaining tablespoon of tomato paste and 1/4 teaspoon of sauce, whisking with a fork until smooth. Evenly spread this mixture over the loaf with a spoon. Bake for about 1 1/4 hours. Let cool. Before serving, slice the loaf into 12 pieces and divide among six plates. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, while hot.
