Prepare all the ingredients.

In a saucepan or pot with a thick bottom, melt the butter.

Add the flour and sauté until lightly golden for 1-2 minutes.

Pour in the milk. Add sugar and vanilla.

Bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat until the first bubbles appear, stirring the mixture with a whisk.

Then use an immersion blender to mix the mixture until it becomes smooth and uniform in consistency.

Pour the resulting mixture into a mold. You can use one large mold or small portion-sized ones. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple of hours to set.
