
Turkish pizza
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. A classic recipe for a Turkish dish. Thin pizza with meat and herbs. The bake is ready. Serve at the table.

In a small bowl, mix the yeast and sugar. Add 1/2 cup warm water, stir well, and cover with a lid (or a plate). Place the mixture in a warm spot for 15 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix the remaining water, flour, and yeast.

Knead a soft, elastic dough. Add more flour or water if needed.

Lightly brush the dough with oil. Place the dough in a saucepan, cover with a lid, wrap the saucepan in towels, and let stand for 1 hour.

When the dough has risen, cut it into 10 equal pieces on a surface dusted beforehand with flour.

Roll each piece into a ball and cover with a kitchen towel while we prepare the pizza filling.

Wash the herbs thoroughly and chop them.

Cut the onion and garlic into small pieces. Then blend everything in a blender (into a smooth paste).

Melt a piece of butter in a frying pan. Fry the onion–garlic mixture for 1 minute. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for 2 minutes.

Peel the tomato and chop it finely.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Add chili pepper, salt, lemon juice, pepper, and chopped jalapeño pepper. Mix thoroughly once more.

Roll out the dough into flat rounds no more than 5–8 mm thick.

Brush the surface of the flatbread with oil.

Place each flatbread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread the filling evenly over the surface of each flatbread.

Preheat the oven to 420°F. Bake until done.
