
Cod in sour cream
Description

Rinse the cod fillet under cold running water, cut into pieces, and pat dry with a paper towel.

Mix coarse salt with ground black pepper and rub the mixture into the fillet pieces. Let it sit for 10 minutes so the fish can absorb the salt.

Peel the onion, rinse it, slice into large rings, and fry in a deep frying pan in hot vegetable oil (2 tbsp) until golden brown. Transfer the fried onion to a bowl.

Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the skillet and heat. Coat the fish pieces in flour and fry until golden brown on both sides. If you have a lot of fish, fry in batches, transferring the cooked pieces to a plate.

Place all the fish into a frying pan, top with the fried onion, pour sour cream over it, cover with a lid, and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
