Cake (classic recipe)
Description
This cake will not only impress guests with its appearance, but also delight their taste buds. It's easy to prepare, though not quick. The entire process takes about 3 hours on average, and the cake needs approximately 5 hours to set. Thanks to its unique preparation method, the cake turns out beautifully layered when sliced and very aromatic. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

1. This cake can be made with icing or without, with cream or without. This recipe is designed for a multi-layer cake with cream.
- 2
Step 2

2. Rub the margarine with sugar. It's better to do this manually with a spoon.
- 3
Step 3

3. Add the eggs, start whisking.
- 4
Step 4

4. At the very end, add the sour cream and continue beating. You can add vanilla sugar to the batter or to the frosting. I prefer adding it to the batter, as during baking it releases its aroma, making the baked goods tastier and more flavorful.

Step 5

5. Add the flour and continue beating. The batter should be of medium consistency (like 15% sour cream). Now divide the batter into two parts. Add cocoa to one part, and leave the other part in its original form.
- 6
Step 6

6. Pour the white layer into the pan first, then the dark layer on top, and so on. Try to use all the batter, making sure you have enough for 3 layers. I always bake the layers separately—it's faster and more convenient.

Step 7

7. For the cream, we need sour cream and sugar. Beat these two ingredients with a mixer until thick, then refrigerate.
- 8
Step 8

8. Place the cake layers in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake. Each layer bakes for about 10 minutes. Let them cool completely, then spread with the cooled cream.

Step 9

9. Now you can spread the cake layers with cream and also make the glaze. To do this, melt the chocolate and pour it over the top of the cake. Let the cake sit for a while, then refrigerate it for 4-5 hours to allow it to soak.
