Step 1

1. Our recipe is about a children's car that will become a perfect decoration for any festive table. First of all, you need to prepare biscuit layers. You can make them light or dark—entirely up to your preference and taste. After baking the biscuit, let it cool down and cut it as shown in the photo.

Step 2

2. Cut out and arrange the sponge cake into the shape of the car you want to make. Each piece can serve as a spoiler, windows, or even wheels, so use your imagination and select pieces of the appropriate shape.
- 3
Step 3

3. Each cake layer should be spread with cream to create layers. For this cake, I used a buttercream made with boiled condensed milk.

Step 4

4. If you have leftover sponge cake pieces after cutting, you can mix them with the cream and use to coat the cake. Another tip – you can use the cream to shape and "smooth out" the edges of your car.

Step 5

5. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for a while, allowing the cream to set and thicken. Meanwhile, roll out the fondant. Choose any color you like, but it's advisable to make it brighter, especially if you're making the cake for a young child. Roll the fondant as large as possible, making it about 1.5 times bigger than the original cake shape.

Step 6

6. This is the kind of car we've made. Carefully trim all the edges and prepare the edible "parts".
- 7
Step 7

7. Roll out the fondant, place it in the center to form a doughnut shape, shape into wheels, and use a skewer to draw tire treads on the wheels.
- 8
Step 8

8. Next, you can use fondant to make decorations for the car. I made lightning bolts on the sides, but you can make inscriptions and various details.
