Cake
Description
In our family, we really love the "Cherry Hill" cake, so I often have to make it. Once, I decided to replace cherries with raspberries. The cake turned out tasty, but it was no longer the familiar sweet-and-sour flavor. The dough is made with honey, eggs, and butter, and you can use frozen cherries. Serve it with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Melt honey over a water bath, add butter. Then add eggs and sugar. Cook until boiling.
- 2
Step 2

2. Add the baking soda (neutralize it with vinegar) and wait until foam forms. Then add the flour and knead the dough.
- 3
Step 3

3. Roll out the dough into a sheet and cut it into strips. Place a cherry (fresh or frozen) in the center of each strip, then roll up each strip into a tube.

Step 4

4. Place on a baking sheet and put in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes, but check readiness with a toothpick.

Step 5

5. Place the cooled rolls onto a serving dish where you will shape our mound. Separately, beat sour cream with sugar (add sugar gradually). The amount of sugar determines the thickness of the cream. I don't like overly sweet cream, so for 600 ml of 20% sour cream, I added only 1 cup of sugar.

Step 6

6. Place a portion of the tubes, pour cream over them.

Step 7

7. Sprinkle with raisins and again place a layer of tubes, pour with cream (I also added prunes).
- 8
Step 8

8. Place another layer of tubes, then pour more cream over them. Now refrigerate our "Cherry Hill" cake for at least 8 hours (I always leave it overnight in the refrigerator).

Step 9

9. The final touch — a dusting of grated chocolate. This is how beautifully the cake looks when sliced. The combination of sweet cream with sour cherries is simply amazing.
