Description

Homemade pastry for tea. If desired, cherries can be replaced with blueberries, raspberries, or oranges. The sour cream topping can be completely substituted with whipped cream. However, the cake tastes better with both types of cream. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

    Prepare the ingredients.

    Beat the eggs with a cup of sugar until the volume triples.

    Add 200 ml of sour cream and gently mix.

    Sift the mixture of flour, baking powder, and 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder on top.

    Lightly knead the dough, being careful not to deflate the volume too much.

    Pour the batter into the multicooker bowl and bake using the "Baking" mode for 45 minutes. Check for doneness with a skewer. When piercing the cake, the skewer should come out dry.

    Slightly cool the finished cake in the multicooker with the lid open, then transfer it to a wire rack and let it cool completely.

    While the cake is baking and cooling, prepare the cherry filling. Mix the thawed cherries with their juice, the remaining sugar, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for a couple of minutes until thickened. Let the filling cool.

    Cut the cake into three parts.

    Whip thick chilled sour cream with 5 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons of cocoa into a fluffy mixture.

    Spread half of the sour cream frosting on the bottom crust. Place the chilled cherry filling on top.

    Place the second cake layer on top, spread the remaining half of the sour cream frosting over it, and sprinkle with broken meringue pieces.

    Whip the cold cream with three tablespoons of powdered sugar and the remaining cocoa into a fluffy cream. Place the third cake layer and cover the cake with whipped cream on top and sides.
