
Sour cream cake
Description
Homemade baked treat for tea. Cocoa is added to the dough, resulting in chocolate layers. A chocolate-based cream is used to spread between the layers and for decoration. You can make several layers. Bake each layer in a separate pan, or use one large pan and then cut the single cake into multiple layers. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. In one bowl, mix the sifted flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine the sour cream with water and vanilla. In a third bowl, beat the soft butter (230 grams) with sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, then add the sour cream mixture, and mix everything thoroughly.

2. Prepare baking pans, grease each one with butter, and divide the dough between them. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 25–30 minutes. Remove the baked layers from the oven, leave them in the pans for 10 minutes, then take them out and let them cool.

3. Meanwhile, beat the butter (170 grams) together with cream cheese, then add vanilla and powdered sugar. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler.

4. Let it cool slightly, then add the chocolate to the bowl with the other ingredients and mix well.

5. Place one cake layer on a plate, spread part of the cream on it, then place the second layer on top and spread cream over the top and sides. Refrigerate the cake for several hours.
