Sour cream and berry cake
Description
Homemade pastry for tea. Rub the butter with sugar, then add sour cream and flour mixed with baking soda. Mix thoroughly and quickly knead the dough. Roll the prepared dough into a loaf about 5-6 cm thick and cut it into 6 pieces. Now roll each piece into a flat round and place them onto a greased baking tray. Preheat the oven to 240-250 degrees Celsius. Bake the layers for 10-15 minutes at this temperature. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Level the baked layers and crumble the trimmings. For the cream, beat sour cream with sugar until foamy. Add berry syrup at the very end of beating. Spread the cream on the layers and stack them, remembering to coat the sides as well. Sprinkle the finished cake with the crumbs and decorate with berries. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to let the layers soak up the cream. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
