Cake
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. To make the cake, you'll need a pack of ready-made puff pastry, non-yeast type. However, choose the kind that rises well to ensure good layering. I used simple puff pastry; the cake turned out tasty, but not as fluffy. Can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Thaw the dough, roll it out, and cut into strips 1.5 cm wide. Preheat the oven to 200-220°C. Bake the strips for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 2
Step 2

The baked sticks should cool down.
- 3
Step 3

You can start preparing the cream now. For it, we will need condensed milk and butter.
- 4
Step 4

The butter should be at room temperature, slightly soft (you can take it out of the refrigerator in advance). First, beat the butter with a mixer, then add the condensed milk and beat again. The cream is ready!

Step 5

Next, assemble the log: use plenty of plastic wrap and spread it out on the table. Place the sticks one by one, spreading each with cream. Set aside a couple of sticks: they can be crumbled and later used to decorate the cake.
- 6
Step 6

Tightly wrap our log in plastic wrap, shaping it into a log form as you go.
- 7
Step 7

The tighter you roll it, the better. Then refrigerate for a couple of hours to let it soak. It's best to leave it overnight. Before serving, you can sprinkle the finished cake with crumbs.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the finished "Layered Log" cake with tea or coffee. Very delicious!

Step 9

The pastry is ready. Serve with tea.
