Cake with fondant roses
Description
The baking process is simple and quick. Learning to decorate homemade pastries with exquisite elements might not be the easiest task, but it's definitely achievable. Start with something simple. For example, try making this meringue rose cake at home. Experiment, and you're sure to create your own sweet masterpiece.
Instructions

Step 1

1. As a base, you can bake absolutely any cake you like. Once assembled, spread whipped butter mixed with condensed milk evenly over the entire surface, carefully smoothing it out.
- 2
Step 2

2. Now you can start making the fondant. In this case, marshmallows will be used as the base. Place them into a deep bowl, spray with water and lemon juice, and put into the microwave for just 15 seconds.
- 3
Step 3

3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a smooth mass forms. Start with a spoon, then transfer to the work surface and knead like dough.
- 4
Step 4

4. As a result, you'll get a smooth, moderately firm mass that's slightly sticky to the hands. If you've done everything correctly, making a cake with fondant roses at home from this point on will be quite easy.
- 5
Step 5

5. Use food coloring to make all decorative elements bright and colorful. I recommend using gel food coloring. Leave part of the fondant white.
- 6
Step 6

6. The cake covered with cream should chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. A piece of fondant can be stored there as well. Afterwards, dust the table with powdered sugar and carefully roll out the fondant quite thinly.
- 7
Step 7

7. Carefully transfer the rolled-out sheet onto the cake.
- 8
Step 8

8. Press firmly to smooth out any wrinkles. Use a sharp knife to trim the bottom evenly along the lower edge of the cake. This is now the finished base ready for decoration.
- 9
Step 9

9. Now it's time to talk directly about the roses. Take a small piece of fondant and shape it into a teardrop resembling a flower bud.
- 10
Step 10

10. Dust the surface with powdered sugar and roll out small pieces of fondant into circles like these. They should be thin and slightly curved at the edges. You can do this easily by hand or with a spoon, for example.
- 11
Step 11

11. Wrap each petal around the base, attaching it with water (lightly moisten a brush and apply to the joints).
- 12
Step 12

12. That's the whole secret of making a rose fondant cake. Leave the flowers to dry, first brushing them gently with a brush to remove any excess powder.
- 13
Step 13

13. Using a brush dampened with water, moisten the bottom of the flower and attach it to the cake. If desired, you can also add small petals or stems, for example. Very beautiful and festive, isn't it?
