No-bake mandarin cake
Description
The recipe won't take much time. For preparing the dessert, you can use only tangerine juice or substitute the sour cream with whipped cream. Be sure to wait for the tangerine layer to completely set before pouring the sour cream layer to prevent them from mixing. Decorate the dessert to your taste and serve it with hot drinks. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Use chilled sour cream — this will help the dessert set faster.
- 2
Step 2

Peel 3-4 tangerines and remove the white fibers, then separate the fruit into segments. Be sure to remove any seeds from the segments.
- 3
Step 3

Place them in a silicone mold at the bottom of the container. Alternatively, you can use a removable mold by placing plastic wrap inside it.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the remaining mandarins in half and squeeze the juice from the fruit halves.
- 5
Step 5

Add 10 grams of gelatin and 30 grams of sugar into 50 ml of boiling water and let it swell for 5–10 minutes. Then stir again until everything is completely dissolved.
- 6
Step 6

Mix with mandarin juice and pour it over the fruit slices in the container. Refrigerate for at least half an hour. After the specified time, check the jelly's consistency; if it has set, proceed to the next step.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the remaining gelatin and sugar with boiling water — 100 ml. Mix, let stand for 5–10 minutes, then stir thoroughly again. Pour into the sour cream and mix again. Pour this mixture into the container over the tangerine layer. If desired, you can add sliced tangerine segments into the sour cream layer, but make sure they are seedless! Place the container in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours.

Step 8

Once the cake has completely set, place the mold in a bowl of hot water for 1 minute, then immediately invert it onto a plate—or cover the mold with a plate and flip it upside down. Serve the colorful, enticing no-bake tangerine cake. Enjoy your meal!
