Cake
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. I'm not really good with baking, I can make simple cakes. But my nephew's birthday was coming up, and I wanted to surprise him with a beautiful cake. I've only worked with fondant once before, and that was on a regular round cake. But as they say, everyone has a first time. I chose a car shape as the base and got to work. The baking is done. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

The first thing we need to do is bake a sponge cake using our signature recipe and leave it to cool.
- 2
Step 2

While the biscuit is baking, let's cut out the car base — the shape it should have, so that later we can cut all the biscuits not "by eye."
- 3
Step 3

We assemble our car. Place the biscuit on the mold, trim it to the shape of the template, and spread with cream (I used white chocolate-based cream). Shape our future car.
- 4
Step 4

Here's what the car looks like. Place the car-shaped cake in the refrigerator to soak for about 2-3 hours.
- 5
Step 5

While the cake was in the refrigerator, we started making the small details. Everything was made from white fondant; the pieces were cut out and then painted with food coloring in various colors.
- 6
Step 6

It's time to take the cake out of the refrigerator and tidy it up. Now take a sharp knife in hand and trim off the excess, shaping the cake to resemble a car.
- 7
Step 7

Spread the cream all over the cake and refrigerate overnight or for 6-7 hours.
- 8
Step 8

Now we need to make the wheels. You can use round-shaped cookies and cover them with black-colored fondant. Make the windows tinted :).

Step 9

On the second day, we'll work on the white fondant for the entire car. Roll out a large piece of fondant and cover the car-shaped cake with it. Smooth it out by hand and trim off the excess. It turned out pretty well. Back into the refrigerator overnight.

Step 10

All that's left is to decorate: attach the wheels, blinkers, letters, and headlights. Paint the bottom of the car using a brush and food coloring.
