Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Beat the egg whites, adding sugar in small portions.
- 2
Step 2

Continue beating and add the egg yolks one at a time.
- 3
Step 3

Then add the flour and gently mix.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the batter into a square pan lined with parchment paper.
- 5
Step 5

And bake the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Prepare the cream for layering. Whip the sour cream with sugar and the cheese mixture. If the cheese mixture is not sweet enough, add sugar to the cream to taste.
- 7
Step 7

And prepare the cream for the fondant. Whip the soft butter into a foam, then add condensed milk. Beat for about 5 minutes until you get a fluffy, homogeneous mass.
- 8
Step 8

We cut the cooled biscuit into 3 layers. We can soak them with syrup and add pieces of berries or fruits. Spread the layers with cottage cheese cream. Then carefully cover the top and sides of the cake with buttercream. Refrigerate for about 2 hours.
- 9
Step 9

We will need 3 colors of fondant. You can buy ready-made fondant or make it yourself. I'm using ready-made. Roll out the fondant, which we'll use to make a bow for the gift, into a thin layer. Sprinkle the work surface with either powdered sugar or starch.
- 10
Step 10

Cut strips from the sheet and make loops for the future bow.
- 11
Step 11

Make about 5 loops of one color and 2-3 of another. Leave the loops to dry.
- 12
Step 12

Roll out the next portion of the fondant and cover either the entire cake or just the sides.
- 13
Step 13

Using a different color or darker shade of fondant, make a lid for the gift and cover the top of the cake. Don't forget to carefully smooth it with dry hands.
- 14
Step 14

Cut ribbons from white marzipan. Wipe the cake with water or water mixed with vodka to remove any traces of powder or starch. Attach the ribbons to the cake using your hands or a soft, wide brush.
- 15
Step 15

Cut out decorations: flowers or just small circles.
- 16
Step 16

And attach them near the ribbon.
- 17
Step 17

Now we start shaping the bow. Moisten the loops with water and attach them to the center of the cake.
- 18
Step 18

Alternate loops of different colors.
- 19
Step 19

And we get a beautiful bow like this. Secure a ball made of fondant in the center.
- 20
Step 20

And additionally, we can decorate the gift cake with sugar beads.
