Cake
Description
Homemade baked treat for tea. Here is a simple recipe for the "Gift" cake. First, prepare the sponge cake—it's very quick to make and turns out light and soft. While the sponge cake is cooling, prepare the soaking syrup and the frosting. Assemble the cake, sprinkle it with almonds or peanuts, and refrigerate for several hours, or preferably overnight. Good luck! Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
